NEW ORLEANS — On June 5, 2026, Firemen’s Federal Credit Union proudly celebrated its 2026 Donald T. Bock Scholarship recipients, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence.

Each year, Firemen’s Federal Credit Union awards scholarships to 11 outstanding students across Louisiana and Southern Mississippi for their exceptional academic achievements. One student member from each branch, along with one employee family member, is selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their dedication to service, leadership, and embodiment of the credit union philosophy, “People Helping People.” Their bright futures continue to inspire us all.

Firemen’s Federal proudly presented the scholarships during its annual scholarship luncheon held at The Ridgeway in Metairie, Louisiana. We were especially moved by the heartfelt letters of recommendation and exceptional essays submitted by each recipient. Their words reflected not only their commitment to their communities, but also a deep understanding of the credit union spirit.

“Receiving the Donald T. Bock Scholarship is more than recognition of your academic success, it is an investment in your future and a reflection of the confidence others have in your potential,” said President and CEO Judy DeLucca. “We are proud to support the next generation of leaders and look forward to seeing all that these students will accomplish.”

The Donald T. Bock Scholarship Program is named in honor of the late Donald T. Bock, a dedicated credit union volunteer who served for more than 40 years. His legacy continues to inspire and uplift others through this scholarship program, which aims to remove financial barriers and empower members to achieve their educational goals through higher education.
