Donald T. Bock Scholarship

We're giving away $10,000 in Scholarships!

Our Scholarship Program is designed to help our ambitious young credit union members advance into the leadership of tomorrow. Firemen’s Federal Credit Union will provide one of our student members at each branch the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship for tuition made payable to the school of choice for 2024 Fall Semester. Limit one scholarship per member; prior scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply.

 

 

Eligibility Requirements

 

To be eligible to enter the Donald T. Bock Scholarship Program, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be a Firemen’s Federal Credit Union member.
  2. Graduating high school senior or college freshman attending a university or community college at the time of the application submission.
  3. A complete and official transcript of grades must be submitted from the school in a sealed envelope. Online transcripts and grade reports are not acceptable. ACT/SAT scores are optional for 2024.
  4. Two (2) signed letters of recommendation. At least one letter must be from a teacher or school administrator. Each letter must have the reference’s name, address and phone number. Reference must include the length of time the reference has known the applicant and in what context.

 

 

Instructions to Enter

 

  • Complete the application located below.

  • Answer the essay questions listed below; each answer should be limited to 200 words or less.

  • Include all required attachments. Any application packet received without all required attachments will be disqualified.

  • Send all materials (postmarked on or before April 13, 2024) to the address below. Entries postmarked after this date will be ineligible.

 

 

Recipient & Award Presentation

Recipients will be notified by April 19, 2024. Award presentation will be announced to recipients at that time.
