How to qualify

Empower Loans offer easy, affordable financing to help cover surprises and emergencies. There are a few requirements needed to qualify for an Empower Loan. If you have any questions, just give us a call or stop by a branch. We’re here to help!

Direct deposit

You'll need to have direct deposit of at least 51% of your net income with Firemen’s Federal for the past six months.

Steady employment

You must have been with your current employer for at least 12 months.

Healthy finances

You shouldn't have any active bankruptcy, delinquent loans or accounts in collections with Firemen's.

Pay down and borrow more

Once your Empower Loan balance reaches $300 (on a $1,500 loan) or $750 (on a $2,500 loan), you may be eligible to borrow more and extend your loan term.
