Through a range of programs, activities and volunteer efforts, we support the people and places that matter most to all of us.
Financial Inclusion Team (FIT)
A first-of-its-kind program, our experts conduct personal financial reviews, help members consolidate high-interest debt, and build savings plans. Participants see an average credit score increase of 30 points. Contact us to learn more.
Opportunity Knocks on PBS
Firemen’s Federal was featured in Season 2 of Opportunity Knocks, an award-winning financial empowerment series on PBS. The series showcased how our team worked one-on-one with a community member to consolidate debt, rebuild credit, and pursue her dream of opening a small business, saving her over $650 per month in the process.
IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
Through our community partnerships, including our relationship with Total Community Action (TCA), we help provide free tax prep services for those with low incomes, disabilities, the elderly and those with limited English skills.
Donald T. Bock Scholarship

First responder roots
Founded by New Orleans firefighters, we've never forgotten where we came from. We actively support firefighter associations, first responder organizations, and the families who give so much to protect our communities.
Local partnerships
We partner with nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and employer groups across Louisiana and Mississippi – from Total Community Action to local schools and civic associations – to extend our reach.
Branch-level engagement
With branches across the region, our teams are embedded in the Bogalusa, Lockport, Mandeville, Metairie, Mid-City, Picayune, Slidell, St. James, Westbank, and West Jefferson communities they serve every day.
