Wire transfers
Send money almost anywhere from your Firemen’s Federal account, or have money sent to your account. Wire transfers are the quickest way to send or receive funds between financial institutions, with same-day processing available. To send a wire, stop by any branch with your recipient’s wiring instructions – accurate details ensure your transfer goes through without delay.

Outgoing domestic: $15
Incoming domestic: $10
Outgoing international: $35
Incoming international: $20
Wire transfer time frames
Domestic wires submitted before 2:00pm CT are sent the same day.
International wires submitted before 12:00pm are sent the same day.

Cashier’s checks
A cashier’s check from Firemen’s Federal works like a guaranteed or certified check – ideal for large purchases or payments where you prefer not to use a personal check that includes your personal details. Funds are drawn directly from your account, giving the recipient full confidence that the payment is secure.

Unused checks: Simply bring it back to any branch and the funds will be returned to your account.
Lost or stolen checks: Contact us right away. Our team will verify the check hasn’t been cashed before reissuing or crediting your account. A notarized Declaration of Loss form will be required.
Stop payment fee: A stop payment fee applies if the check is lost in the mail and we have to place a stop payment.
Money orders
Need a secure, widely accepted form of payment but don’t have a checking account? Firemen’s Federal money orders are a simple, trusted alternative to personal checks – available at any branch for just $2.00.

Maximum amount: $1,000 per money order
Available to Firemen’s Federal members and shared branch members only
Unused money orders can be re-deposited to your account

Night deposits
Can’t make it to the branch during business hours? Our secure Night Depositories are available at most branch locations, so you can drop off loan payments, deposits, or confidential correspondence anytime, day or night.
Good to know
Deposits submitted before 8:00am are processed and posted by 10:00am that same business day.
All deposits are retrieved and verified under dual control for your security.
Deposit hold notices are mailed when applicable; receipts are available upon request.
