What Is the From the Bayou to the Beach – Community Listening Tour?
Firemen’s Federal Credit Union is kicking off our first-ever Community Listening Tour. We’re traveling across Louisiana and Southern Mississippi to sit down with real people in real neighborhoods and ask a simple question: what’s actually going on where you live? Money problems are never just money problems. Rent, transportation, childcare, a job that doesn’t quite cover it– it’s all tangled together. We’re here to hear the whole picture.
What’s working in your community? What’s broken? What would actually make a difference? We’re listening first– because real financial access starts with understanding what’s standing in the way, and figuring out how to actually help.
The Community Listening Tour is an opportunity for community members, local organizations, businesses, and partners to share their experiences, ideas, challenges, and hopes for the future.
We’re creating space for honest conversations about the issues impacting our communities and exploring how we can work together to create meaningful solutions.
